Job summary

Avera Transplant Institute in Rapid City, SD seeks a Medical Assistant to support the RN Transplant Coordinator across referral, evaluation, waitlist, and post-donation activities. You will triage calls, prepare patient packets, and help maintain transplant databases OTTR and Expanse.

The role requires attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary clinic; CCMA/CMA/RMA/NCMA credentials are preferred upon hire.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant credentials required on hire (CCMA or CMA or RMA or NCMA).
• Associate degree or diploma in Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience in transplant/multidisciplinary clinics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist transplant coordinator with referral, evaluation, listing and post-transplant activities.
• Triage high-volume calls and patient communications.
• Schedule appointments and diagnostic tests; enter outside lab results into transplant database.
