Job summary

Cedars-Sinai is seeking an experienced registered nurse for the Comprehensive Transplant Center in Los Angeles. The role requires a state-licensed RN with BLS, and a minimum of one year in acute care, preferably in a transplant or specialty unit.

Education: associate degree required; BSN preferred. Certification in ACLS/PALS and ANCC specialty certification are valued. Promotions to Clinical Nurse II occur after one year with satisfactory performance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or college diploma required (minimum).
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from a state-accredited program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience in the specialty for external hires; promotion after 1 year to Clinical Nurse II contingent on performance.
• Current California RN license; BLS certification; as required by specialty unit (ACLS, PALS, fetal heart monitoring) per department.
• ANCC Specialty Certification preferred after 2 years in specialty.

Experience

• 1 year For external hires, acute care experience in their specialty for new hires. Promotion to Clinical Nurse II is automatic after completion of one (1) year of clinical experience and a satisfactory performance appraisal at a Clinical Nurse I level. - minimum

Licenses and Certifications

• RN State License - Upon Hire minimum California State RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Upon Hire minimum BLS Certification. As required by your specialty unit.
• Other – See Department Specifics - 1 Year minimum Other Competencies, as required by your specialty unit (ex. ACLS, PALS, fetal heart monitoring)
