Job summary

Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Behavioral Health Advanced Practice Provider to support adult solid organ transplant programs (kidney, liver, heart). Open to PMHNP-BC or PA candidates trained in psychiatric services, able to work across multidisciplinary transplant teams.

You will perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, manage medications, and collaborate with psychiatrists, transplant surgeons, social workers, and nursing staff

Qualifications

NP requirements: Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program; PMHNP-BC certification; NC NP license; prescriptive privileges and DEA license.
PA requirements: Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program; NC PA license; NCCPA certification; CAQ in Psychiatry preferred; prescriptive privileges and DEA license.
General requirements: BLS for Healthcare Provider; 1+ year Psychiatry/Behavioral Health experience preferred; ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and behavioral health assessments.
Conduct transplant clearance and readiness evaluations.
Develop and manage behavioral health treatment plans and medications.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, transplant physicians, social workers, and nursing staff.
