Job summary

Luminant Energy Company LLC in Irving, Texas seeks a Senior Analyst to assist in managing transmission congestion risk in annual and monthly CRR auctions, as well as in Day-Ahead Market (DAM) and Real-Time Markets (RTM). You will help develop a pricing Point-Of-View to hedge delivery of power from generation assets to hubs and load zones.

Qualifications

• Provide electrical power transmission system, congestion, and price forecasting analysis
• Identify and execute speculative CRR and DAM trading opportunities
• Provide transmission market and congestion risk viewpoints to stakeholders
• Develop, maintain, and enhance production cost and transmission models
• Perform transmission planning and power system studies using industry-standard tools
• Design and maintain quantitative analytics, databases, and software tools

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing transmission congestion risk in CRR auctions, DAM, and RTM markets.
• Develop pricing POV to hedge delivery risk and support asset optimization.
• Interface with Grid Optimization, ERCOT teams, and Wholesale Markets on market design.
