Job summary

W.W. Williams is seeking a Transmission Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain transmissions, diesel engines, and heavy-duty trucks. You will collaborate with fellow technicians to complete scheduled work safely and to the customer's satisfaction.

The role emphasizes accurate paperwork, fault diagnosis, and adherence to safety standards, with opportunities for growth within a large, nationwide service network.

Qualifications

• 3+ Years of transmission repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck/fleet dealership or shop environment.
• Strong working knowledge of multiple systems (A/C, brake, emission, air), diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
• Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on transmissions, diesel engines, and heavy duty trucks per manufacturer procedures.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork (work orders, state or emission inspections) promptly.
• Diagnose vehicle failures by disassembling, repairing and reassembling parts.
• Adhere to all Company and industry safety standards.
• Inspect vital parts to ensure proper operating conditions.
• Create a job repair plan based on the diagnosis.

Transmission Technician Opportunity Summary

As a Transmission Technician, you are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing routine maintenance and emergency services while making customer repair recommendations. This position will work with other technicians to ensure all work scheduled is performed safely and to the customer's satisfaction.

Job Duties
