Job description

Engineering excellence, built on people-first values.

At LUZCO, we’re more than an engineering firm — we’re a familia. We pair technical excellence with a culture rooted in respect, flexibility, and genuine care for one another. Here, you're known by name, supported as a whole person, and encouraged to bring your authentic self to work with competitive benefits, and the flexibility to support life both inside and outside of work.

We’re proud to be a 2025 and 2026 Best Place to Work in St. Louis and a woman-owned, minority-owned boutique firm, delivering impactful engineering solutions in a workplace where people feel valued and empowered to grow.

Why You’ll Love LUZCO
  • Benefits that take care of you: Top-notch medical, dental, and vision insurance; a competitive 401k match; generous PTO; student loan repayment assistance; and an employee recognition platform that celebrates your wins big and small.
  • Flexibility that fits your life: We get that life doesn’t always stick to a schedule. You’ll work with your supervisor to create a schedule that’s flexible and works for both you and the team.
  • Diversity that fuels innovation: Our team brings together a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. That diversity isn’t just something we talk about; it’s what drives our creativity and helps us find better ways to solve problems.
  • Growth that feels personal: Whether you’re continuing your education, earning new certifications, or stepping into new challenges, we’re here to help you grow in the direction that’s right for you. You’ll collaborate with experienced mentors and leaders who want to see you succeed.
  • A culture that gives back: We’re passionate about our communities. Every year, we dedicate paid time off for volunteering and encourage our team to use their talents to make a difference whether that’s mentoring students, serving local nonprofits, or getting hands‑on in community projects.
  • A workplace that feels like you: We keep things relaxed and welcoming. Expect weekly happy hours, team lunches, a stocked kitchen, dogs in the office, and a casual dress code. It’s a space where you can be yourself and do your best work.
The Role

We’re seeking a Transmission Project Manager who will play a key role in delivering critical high-voltage transmission projects that power communities. In this role, you’ll own projects from early development through construction and closeout, bringing teams together, removing obstacles, and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and with purpose. You’ll be a trusted partner to clients and internal teams alike, helping turn complex challenges into successful outcomes.

What Your Day Will Look Like
  • Oversee transmission projects from planning and permitting through construction and closeout.
  • Manage project schedules in coordination with the scheduler using Primavera P6, while overseeing permitting (environmental & real estate), detailed cost estimating, engineering design, procurement of labor and materials, and contractor/vendor management to meet client deadlines.
  • Lead recurring design and construction progress meetings to keep teams aligned and on track.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
  • Create and manage bid packages, evaluate contractor bids, and recommend selections to clients.
  • Build strong relationships with project and construction teams through regular communication and site visits.
  • Manage external vendors and contractors to meet client deadlines.
  • Develop execution plans and supporting documentation for project authorization and funding.
  • Provide regular updates to the PM Supervisor and client on schedule, cost, risks, and issues.
  • Travel within the client’s service territory as needed. Typically about 10% of the time.
