Responsible for leading and managing the Transmission Planning organization for the Appalachian Power region. This role oversees transmission planning studies, reviews study results, defines system needs, and develops recommended solutions to maintain reliability, support growth, and balance capital investment, maintenance, and operating alternatives. The position also provides regulatory support, including preparation of testimony, base cases, and presentations for customers and state commissions, while ensuring coordination with internal teams and external reliability and planning organizations.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited, or equivalent, university or college.
Minimum of ten (10) years related engineering experience.
Professional Engineer designation preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present clearly to senior management, customers, and external audiences.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Experience with regulatory support, including testimony, state commission interactions, and customer-facing presentations.
Familiarity with transmission planning, study development, reliability criteria, and solution development.
Preferred location is New Albany; Virginia may also be considered.

Base Salary from $160,434-$208,565/year.

Compensation Range: $160,434.00 - $208,565.50
