Job summary

Wind Energy Transmission Texas (WETT) offers an internship program focused on long-term transmission planning studies to improve system reliability and efficiency. As an Intern, you will assist with data analysis, modeling, and evaluating upgrades in alignment with WETT’s expansion goals.

You will work closely with industry experts, gaining hands-on experience in operations, maintenance, and planning while developing essential skills for a career in the utility sector.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
• Junior or senior preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of the regulated utility industry, transmission systems, and power engineering concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in long-term transmission planning studies to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
• Assist with data analysis, modeling, and evaluating system upgrades.
• Collaborate with industry experts and gain insights into our transmission infrastructure's operations, maintenance, and planning.
