Job summary

Eversource is seeking a Transmission Lineworker in New Hampshire to construct, install, repair, and maintain distribution and transmission circuits, substations, and related facilities. You will work on energized and de-energized lines and report to assigned sites from Hooksett to surrounding areas.

The role requires a fully rated Lineworker 1 or equivalent, a valid CDL Class A, a CAST aptitude test, and may include storm restoration duties with overtime. Union representation applies.

Qualifications

• Fully rated Lineworker 1 or equivalent required.
• Two years of transmission line experience preferred for first consideration.
• CDL Class A license with clean driving record required.
• Cast aptitude test and agility assessment completed if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, maintain and remove transmission circuits, structures and equipment.
• patrol and inspect the transmission system and rights-of-way.
• Manage assets in Rights-of-Way on energized and de-energized circuits.
• Perform duties of lower-rated classifications as needed.

Job description

Applicants requiring visa sponsorship to start employment with Eversource will not be considered.The Transmission Lineworker constructs, installs, repairs, maintains and removes distribution and transmission circuits, substations and associated facilities. Other duties of the position include install and remove transmission structures and related apparatus, patrol and inspect the transmission system, and construct and maintain assets in Rights-of-Way on both energized and de-energized circuits. In addition, the Transmission Lineworker may be required to perform tasks generally associated with lower rated classifications.This position requires mechanical aptitude, manual and finger dexterity, the ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions and climb and work on transmission poles and structures.Starting Rate of Pay: $56.06 per hourPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:The successful candidate must meet the requirements of a fully rated Lineworker 1 or the equivalent. IBEW represented Eversource NH applicants with a minimum of two years of experience in the construction, installation and maintenance of transmission level circuits and equipment shall receive first consideration for this position.Commercial Driver's license (Full Class A license) and safe driving recordHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED)Successful completion of the CAST aptitude test and an agility assessment, if applicable.Will have storm restoration and emergency assignments and must be available to work overtime for these assignments. The employee weight limit for this position is 300 pounds.This position is subject to the provisions of the Transmission Lineworker Agreement. This agreement details employee work hour schedule from 7:00 a.m. through 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Employees may work a 4/10 schedule based on work needs. The specific hours of a 4/10 schedule may occur at any time or frequency throughout the year.Employees will use Legends Drive, Hooksett, New Hampshire as a base reporting location. They may also, as deemed necessary by the company, report to specific job sites from the Tilton AWC territory south to the New Hampshire/Massachusetts border, and from the Keene AWC territory easterly to the Portsmouth AWC territory.
