Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks an Overhead Transmission Line Project Engineering Manager to lead high-voltage transmission projects across the U.S. The role focuses on structural design and technical leadership, with responsibility for quality, budget, schedule, and team performance.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of transmission line design experience at 69kV+ (500kV+ for extra-high voltage)
• PLS-CADD proficiency; ability to mentor others
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical backgrounds considered)
• P.E. license strongly recommended
• Deep experience in structural design (foundations, framing, materials, loading)
• Experience with steel, wood, laminate, and composite structures; lattice towers a plus
• EPC or design services background supporting U.S. investor-owned utilities

Overhead Transmission Line Project Engineering Manager to lead high-voltage transmission projects across the U.S. This role is heavily focused on structural design and technical leadership, with responsibility for quality, budget, schedule, and team performance.

What You’ll Bring

• 8–12+ years of transmission line design experience at 69kV and above (500kV+ strongly for extra-high voltage projects)
• PLS-CADD proficiency is required(ability to mentor and train others is a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical backgrounds considered)
• P.E. license strongly
• Deep experience in structural design (approximately 90% focus): foundations, framing, material selection, and loading analysis
• Experience with steel, wood, laminate, and composite structures; lattice tower design is a plus
• EPC and/or design services background supporting U.S. investor-owned utilities

The Role
