Job description

The Opportunity

Ulteig is currently seeking talented and motivated Engineer level candidates to join our Transmission Line group. This position is responsible for the design of High Voltage (69kV-500kV) transmission lines utilizing the PLS-CADD software. This position is open to any location or remote work.

What You'll Do

The ideal candidate has excellent problem-solving skills and uses advanced techniques, theory, precepts, and practices to complete complex project assignments. Responsibilities include facilitating collaboration between disciplines, acting as a client contact to determine project scope, and developing construction documents for transmission lines. Final deliverables include design criteria, drawings, structure details, and specifications. The engineer will coordinate design aspects, estimate costs, and specify materials.

What We Expect from You

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited school
• Minimum of 4 years' engineering experience, with at least 3 years in Transmission Line Engineering or related fields
• PE license or ability to acquire within 6 months (highly preferred)
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE (preferred)
• Experience working with or for a Utility (highly preferred)
• Strong client relationship skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Experience in training and mentoring team members
• Experience reviewing project drawings, calculations, and specifications
• Creative and analytical mindset
• Strong collaboration skills across disciplines
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (preferred)
• Proficiency in MFAD/LPILE (preferred)

Ulteig is a Drug-Free Workplace. The target base salary range for this role is $101,700 - $137,800, depending on skills, experience, and location.
