Job summary

Coulter Services in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to lead overhead and underground transmission line projects from concept through construction. You will perform detailed design, electrical/mechanical analysis, and QA/QC to ensure compliance with NESC, IEEE, and applicable utility standards.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and engage clients on grid modernization and critical infrastructure programs.

Lead overhead and underground transmission line projects from concept through construction for Energy & Utilities clients. Perform detailed design, electrical/mechanical analysis, and QA/QC to ensure compliance with NESC, IEEE, and applicable utility standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage engineering deliverables for transmission line designs.
• Conduct detailed analysis and verify designs through QA/QC.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams throughout project execution.
• Support client engagement related to grid modernization and critical infrastructure.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineering staff.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong expertise in transmission line engineering and design of overhead/underground systems.
