The AES Corporation invites talented engineering students to join the Indiana Transmission Engineering Team as a Summer 2027 Co-op. You will design high voltage transmission facilities and participate in field visits to verify topography and coordinate with construction crews.

Qualifications

• Student pursuing a four-year degree in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering
• Sophomore status or higher preferred
• Experience with design software PLS-CADD or SolidWorks and Excel preferred

Responsibilities

• Design high voltage transmission line facilities to support system improvements and load growth
• Participate in field visits to verify topography and address engineering concerns with construction crews
• Update discrepancies between prints/schematics, databases and system models
