Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Transmission Engineer to engineer, design, and analyze high voltage transmission lines (69-500kV) using PLS-CADD. Remote work option available, with Denver-area opportunities in Colorado.

A BS in Engineering (ABET) and 4+ years of experience are required. Candidates will prepare construction drawings, conduct reliability analyses, and provide field support during construction, while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

• 4+ years of experience in Transmission Engineering.
• PLS-CADD is required.

Responsibilities

A Transmission Engineer

responsible forengineering, design, and analysis of transmission lines, as well as the development of comprehensive project packages.

Required:

• B.S. in Engineering from ABET accredited program
• 4+ years of experience required within Transmission Engineering.
• PLS CADD required.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the engineering and design of high voltage (69-500kV) transmission lines using PLS-CADD.
• Prepare construction documents including plan and profile drawings, structure loading trees, and foundation and assembly drawings.
• Conducting detailed analysis to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
• Provide field support during construction.
• Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
• Performs work which involves conventional engineering practices, but may involve a variety of complex features.
• May coordinate departmental and divisional project studies and report preparation assignments.
• Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered.
• Adhere to codes and standards while delivering innovative solutions.
