Job summary

Peeples Industries, Inc. is seeking a Transload Operator to support safe and efficient bulk transfer operations at our Savannah facility. You will handle transloading between railcars, trucks, and containers while following safety and quality standards.

The role involves operating Trackmobile and grain handling equipment, performing routine inspections, and ensuring accurate documentation. Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED, be able to obtain a TWIC card, and pass pre-employment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to obtain and maintain a TWIC card.
• Pass pre-employment screening (background, drug screen, physical).
• Previous rail, grain handling, bulk transfer, or heavy equipment experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer skills (email, data entry, Outlook, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Perform transloading of bulk grain and non-hazardous liquids between railcars, trucks, and containers.
• Apply rail safety procedures including blue flag protection, derailer placement, and railcar securement.
• Safely operate a Trackmobile to move and position railcars.
• Open/close railcar hatches, gates, and valves as required.
• Connect and disconnect hoses and transfer lines.
• Operate pumps, conveyors, augers, and related transfer systems.
• Inspect railcars and containers prior to loading/unloading.
• Monitor transfer rates and ensure proper product flow.
• Operate grain handling systems and monitor control room systems.
• Perform product sampling and quality checks; verify weights and documentation.
