Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Research Assistant II to support translational neuroscience research spanning wet lab, preclinical, imaging, and biomarker workflows in a patient-centric setting. The role involves collaboration with investigators, clinicians, and staff to advance cancer care through impactful research.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in basic science is required; Master’s or Medical degree preferred.
  • Experience in wet lab, translational research, and clinical trial workflows is desirable.
  • Familiarity with GCP and regulatory guidelines is expected.
  • Ability to coordinate across wet lab, animal, and clinical research settings.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate clinical trials and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Perform tissue culture and molecular biology procedures.
  • Process RNA, DNA, and protein samples for studies.
  • Conduct PCR, Western blot, flow cytometry, and IHC experiments.
  • Maintain and organize research data and documentation.
