Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Translational Post Doctoral Researcher focused on agentic AI for neurodegeneration. The role is a 2-year fixed term and will be located at one of our offices, including Cambridge, MA, with no fully remote option.

You will work within the Machine Intelligence team, collaborating with C-BRAIN partners, translating multi-modal neuroscience data into evaluation frameworks for AI co-scientist systems and publishing findings with cross-disciplinary

Qualifications

• PhD (or MD/PhD) in neuroscience, neurobiology, computational neuroscience, biomedical informatics, or a closely related field.
• Deep knowledge of neurodegenerative disease biology and translational challenges.
• Hands-on experience with neuroimaging (PET/MRI), digital pathology, omics, and longitudinal clinical data.
• Familiarity with large language model architectures and agentic AI frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python and ML/data engineering tools.
• Excellent scientific communication across computational, translational, and experimental teams.
• Self-directed, able to work independently in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Characterize and integrate biomedical data modalities for neurodegeneration to develop domain-specific models.
• Build data engineering pipelines harmonizing modalities into unified analytical frameworks.
• Identify where cross-modal integration provides insight and establish ground truth for AI evaluation.
• Design evaluation frameworks for agentic AI systems across neuroscience modalities.
• Publish evaluation methodologies and findings in leading journals and conferences.
