Job summary

Transitions Academy, part of Holyoke Public Schools, seeks a Job Coach to support students aging 18–22 in classrooms and community settings. The role focuses on reinforcing academic, vocational, social, and independent living skills to help students gain post-secondary independence.

The ideale candidate works closely with program staff, families, and employers, is patient, flexible, relationship-driven, and committed to helping students transition into adulthood with dignity and purpose.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher; 48 college credits or two years completed.
• Experience working with children and/or adults with disabilities.
• Urban setting experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish applicants strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce skills and concepts introduced by teachers and program staff.
• Support students in developing vocational, social, communication, and independent living skills.
• Assist students with mobility, personal care, and activities of daily living as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and community partners to support student success.
