Job summary

Aiken Technical College in South Carolina is seeking Transitional Studies Mathematics Adjunct Instructors to deliver hands-on and theory-based instruction, manage classrooms, and complete administrative tasks such as reports, syllabi, and lesson plans.

Responsibilities include preparing current course syllabi, ensuring alignment with syllabi, selecting instructional materials, providing suitable lab facilities, and supervising students.

Qualifications

• MAT 032 requires a Bachelor's degree in mathematics or related field and teaching/tutoring experience.
• MAT 101 & 102 require a Bachelor's degree with significant mathematics content and teaching/tutoring experience in mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction including hands-on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks such as reports, syllabus, and lesson plan development.
• Prepare and maintain current course syllabi for each course taught.
• Ensure that the course is taught in accordance with the established syllabus.
• Recommend instructional materials appropriate to the course content.
• Recommend laboratory facilities and equipment for the assigned course.
• Supervise students during instructional activities and labs.

• Instruction including hands on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks that may include reports, syllabus and lesson plan development.


• Prepare and/or maintain current course syllabi for course taught.


• Ensure that course is taught in accordance with the established syllabi.


• Recommend for approval adequate instructional materials for course.


• Recommend adequate laboratory facilities/equipment for assigned course.


• Supervision of students.

Requirements by course subject:

• MAT 032: Bachelor's degree and mathematics teaching and/or tutoring experience


• MAT 101 & 102: Bachelor's degree with significant level of mathematics and/or related field content, and teaching and/or tutoring experience in mathematics
