Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery BOCES is seeking a full-time, tenure track School Counselor (Transition Specialist). This role involves working with children and adolescents with psychiatric and behavioral disorders, offering counseling and developing behavioral support plans.

Applicants must hold New York State Certification as a School Counselor. Additional summer work opportunities may be available for the Extended School Year Program. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children/adolescents with psychiatric and/or behavioral disorders is preferred.
• Candidates must have New York State Certification as a School Counselor.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling services to students with various needs.
• Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments and develop Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Support students' behavioral needs with positive interventions.
