Job summary

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on gasoline and diesel buses and cars; you will work under the Head Mechanic to uphold safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years of journeyman automotive experience in a standard shop.
• Equivalent training and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all gasoline or diesel transportation equipment.
• Diagnose and repair district automotive equipment.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Assist Head Bus Mechanic in efficient maintenance scheduling.
• Uphold safety and housekeeping standards in all work areas.
• Adhere to instructions from Head Mechanic and Transportation Supervisor.
