Job summary

HDR, a global engineering firm, invites you to join its Transit Systems team as an Intern in Minnesota. You will gain real-world project experience, work under supervision of a professional or Project Manager, and contribute to designing and evaluating transportation solutions.

As an enrolled engineering student, you will apply classroom knowledge to real projects, develop problem-solving and teamwork skills, and engage with mentors to accelerate your professional growth within HDR's

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of CAD; basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree; local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Gain real-world experience on exciting projects.
  • Connect with mentors and young professionals programs.
  • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree.
  • Knowledge of CAD.
  • Interest or completed course work in:
    • Circuits
    • Systems Engineering
  • Preference given to local candidates
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
