Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an intern to join our Transportation Advisory Services team in our transportation offices, with preferred locations in Austin, Chicago, or Bellevue.

This role supports content creation—websites, emails, social media, presentations—and meeting management, requiring strong writing, initiative, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's in Planning or related field, you will gain hands-on experience on transportation projects that impact communities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Planning or a related field.
• Strong writing skills and ability to communicate technical content clearly.
• Interest in transportation, environment and infrastructure.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with content creation for websites, emails, social media and presentations.
• Support meeting management for task forces and client events.
• Help craft collateral explaining technical content to diverse audiences.
