Dallas Area Rapid Transit Inc (DART) is seeking a Police Sergeant to perform law enforcement and general police services within DART. Qualifications

• Written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels, both inside and outside of DART.
• Analytical and creative skills to find solutions to complex problems.
• Proficient using PC and various software applications.
• Valid Texas Driver's License or comparable license from another state. No DWI conviction within 10 years; limited moving violations.

Responsibilities

• Responds to calls for police service within DART jurisdiction including investigations, arrests, traffic direction, and public assistance.
• Interfaces with local police departments within DART's service area.
• Conducts preliminary and follow-up investigations.
• Conducts security surveys and develops crime prevention measures.
• Performs special assignments and prepares reports for management review.
