Job summary

MBTA is seeking an undergraduate co-op for the Infrastructure Planning team in Boston to support data analytics, planning, and engineering-related projects.

The role involves cleaning data, building dashboards, maps, and visualizations, and assisting with coordination among consultants and MBTA staff. Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited program and able to work onsite three days per week.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate/Bachelor's program in Planning, Data Analytics, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Environmental Science or related field.
• Ability to work in-person at least three days per week in downtown Boston; preference for five days per week.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and analyze data, develop static data visualizations and maps, and create interactive dashboards.
• Research transit agency practices to inform MBTA project approaches and standards.
• Develop presentations, reports, and memos for project teams and stakeholders.
• Assist with project coordination, including organizing meetings and coordinating with consultants and MBTA staff.
