The Transit Coordinator - Financial Analyst at City of Conroe is responsible for a range of transit planning, coordination and administrative duties for the Transportation Department. Responsibilities include post award grant and contract accounting activities, analysis of reimbursements, grant expenditures and budget reconciliation to support City ledger accuracy.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/administration and at least seven years of relevant experience,

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, and/or Public Administration.
• At least 7 years of applicable experience in the field; five years with a municipal, state, or federal agency in transit planning/management.
• Special Requirements include 5 to 7 years grant administration experience with the Federal Transit Administration.

Responsibilities

• Post award grant and contract accounting activities.
• Analysis of contract reimbursements, increments, replacements, renewals, grant expenditure/revenue trends.
• Assist with budget preparation and reconciliation of City's ledger in accounting systems.
• Work is performed with considerable independence within established procedures and policies.
