Job summary

Mass Electric Transportation is seeking entry-level field and office engineers to support transit, light rail and data-center projects. Relocation to major metro areas across the United States is expected, with opportunities to travel across North America.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil, electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering, or related field.
  • 0-3 years of construction experience including infrastructure/heavy civil projects preferred.
  • Willing to travel/relocate initially and throughout career.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Ability to access construction sites in varied climates.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to work non-standard hours.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret drawings and specifications; prepare work plans and material logistics for field crews.
  • Takeoffs from drawings; assist in pricing change orders; track field and office performance.
  • Support project controls, engineering interface, subcontractor equipment/ material management, purchasing and scheduling.
  • Assist in expediting material deliveries and processing change orders.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide status updates.
  • May serve as discipline engineer or lead on a small project.
  • May share superintendent responsibilities for small operations.
