Job Description

The Transit Bus Driver operates shuttle buses to provide safe transportation for students, including driving routes on- and off-campus and handling ADA accommodations. Responsibilities include operating various vehicles, maintaining records, and performing routine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Drive buses safely, ensuring ADA compliance and operating communication equipment.
• Provide seasonal transportation for athletic activities, maintaining travel records.
• Perform vehicle maintenance, logbook keeping, and assist with special events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two years of related experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Certifications

• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively
• Operate various buses safely in different conditions

Licenses and Certifications

• Must obtain Texas class 'B' vehicle license within 45 days (passenger endorsement, air brakes)

Additional Requirements

• Drive state vehicles and respond to campus emergencies
• Must meet federal driver disqualification standards
