Job summary

Ratp is seeking Transit Drivers (CDL preferred) in Columbia, SC. We will train candidates to obtain CDL with Passenger endorsement and start at a new rate of $19.00 per hour. This is a full-time, permanent role with paid training to obtain the permit within a week.

Responsibilities include operating buses safely, assisting passengers, conducting DVIRs, and ensuring high-quality service while adhering to all laws and company policies. 21+ and SC license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL training or willingness to obtain CDL with Passenger endorsement.
• DOT physical clearance.
• 21+ years old requirement.

Responsibilities

• Acts as front-line point of contact to ensure quality customer service.
• Safely operates buses through city and freeway traffic.
• Assist passengers with disabilities and safety restraints as needed.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and document DVIR.
• Coordinate detour, accident and incident information with dispatch.
