Texas A&M University is seeking a Transit Bus Driver for Prairie View A&M University Department Transportation Center. The role involves operating a 15-30 passenger bus on an assigned schedule to ensure timely and safe transport for students between campus points and select off-campus sites.
Under direct supervision, you will perform pre- and post-operation checks, maintain logs, operate ADA equipment, and report as required by SOPs.

Under direct supervision, operates a 15-30 passenger bus in a safe and professional manner in accordance with an assigned schedule that is designed to ensure the timely and safe transport of students between pick up and drop off points within the university and selected off campus sites.
Demonstrate the ability to operate several types of buses and vans to the extent of maneuvering safely through congested traffic conditions, adverse weather and road conditions. Exhibit a high degree of mental concentration and independent judgment. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Valid vehicle operator’s license and good driving record. Must be able to obtain State of Texas class 'B' vehicle operator's license (Commercial Drivers License with passenger endorsement and air brakes endorsement) within 45 days of employment.
