Job summary

Northwest Area Education Agency (NWAEA) seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to support learners birth to 21 with communication needs in Sioux City and surrounding areas. The SLP will provide direct services, consult with teachers and families, and collaborate on MTSS-based interventions to improve speech, language, and social communication.

This role emphasizes assessment, IEP/IFSP development, FERPA/ HIPAA compliance, and staff training.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Iowa BoEE B-21 Speech‑Language Pathologist license or Iowa DoPH license with SPR.
• ASHA CCCs encouraged but not required.

Responsibilities

• Consultation, collaboration, and coaching with school staff, families, and community partners.
• Develop and evaluate MTSS-aligned intervention strategies.
• Provide direct instruction or consultative support for speech and language disorders.
• Utilize data collection to monitor progress and effectiveness of interventions.
• Support data analysis for academic and behavioral improvements in special education.
