Job summary

District in Dawson Springs, Kentucky seeks a teacher certified in Learning Behavior Disorders (LBD) Grades K-12 for the 2026-27 school year. The position features 185 contract days with competitive salary commensurate with rank and experience and benefits including state retirement and health insurance.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, delivering instruction, assessing student progress, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Holds valid Kentucky teaching certification including Learning Behavior Disorders (LBD) Grades K-12 or is eligible for certification.
• State criminal history background check may be required.
• Medical examination may be required prior to employment as per Kentucky regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develops lesson plans and provides instruction tailored to individual learning styles.
• Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior for a productive learning environment.
• Evaluates student progress and prepares progress reports on a regular basis.
• Communicates with students and parents regarding progress and needs.
• Maintains accurate records and participates in district evaluation processes.
