Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) is seeking a Workday Solution Architect to deliver advisory and implementation services across client organizations within the Technology Transformation Practice. You will help clients move from current to future-state processes using Workday modules and integrations.

You will lead or participate in full life cycle implementations, design, build, testing, training, and post-production support, with up to 40% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; Master’s is a plus.
• 4+ years of consulting experience serving cross-industry national clients.
• 4 full life cycle Workday implementations completed.
• Knowledge of Workday modules and architecture.
• Industry certification required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of SDLC, metrics, and reporting.
• Experience with integration and back-end data connectivity.
• Experience installing/configuring Workday applications.
• Exposure or training on Workday Applications.
• Proven ability to deliver complex, time-sensitive projects.
• Strong leadership; able to run meetings and produce technical docs.
• Ability to map current to future-state processes aligned with business objectives.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As a Workday Solution Architect, you'll perform advisory and implementation services to address business needs throughout client organizations for the Technology Transformation Practice – all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel.

From day one, you'll be empowered by the greater Technology Transformation team to help clients make the moves that will help them achieve their vision and help you achieve more, confidently.

Your day-to-day may include:

• Assist in full life cycle implementations including planning, design, & build phases
• Responsible for documenting business requirements, system design and transformational goals
• Configure applications and conduct iterative unit testing
• Help to create training materials and quick reference guides to support user adoption
• Conduct training classes to prepare end users for deployment
• Provide post-production support
• Participate in full life cycle implementations
• Assist in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures
• Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization)
• Other duties as assigned

You have the following technical skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, HR, Information Technology, MIS, or related field required, Master's degree is a plus
• Minimum 4 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross-industry clients at a national level
• Minimum of 4 full life cycle implementations of Workday
• Knowledge of Workday modules
• Industry recognized professional certification required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of software development lifecycles, key metrics, and reports
• Experience with application integration & back-end data connectivity applications
• Experience installing/configuring/implementing Workday Applications
• Exposure or training on Workday Applications
• Knowledge of Workday Applications
• Proven ability delivering complex and time sensitive projects
• Strong leadership skills, able to conduct meetings and write technically oriented documents
• Able to work with clients to understand current state processes and define future state processes based on business objectives
• Can travel as needed. Expected travel is up to 40%

The base salary range for this position is between $169,280 and $226,412. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton's discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity.
