Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, Organization Improvement, or related field.
  • Five+ years delivering project management, strategy deployment, and continuous improvement results.
  • Healthcare setting experience preferred.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, scope, lead, coach, and evaluate multiple improvement projects using Lean and change leadership.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio of strategy deployment projects.
  • Provide education and mentorship in continuous improvement methods.

POSITION SPECIFICS

Title: Transformation Program Manager FTE: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) Location: Hybrid; onsite as business needs demand Schedule: Monday - Friday, flexible general business hours Holiday Rotation: None Weekend Rotation: None On Call Requirements: None


POSITION SUMMARY

The Transformation Program Manager will coordinate and guide efforts to deploy organization-wide strategy. In partnership with the Director, the Transformation Program Manager will develop and deliver on long-term and annual goals related to the organization’s strategic initiatives and have primary responsibility for the strategy deployment program Will guide the deployment of improvement methods such as Lean to enable process improvements, system growth, frontline strategy alignment, and innovation. In collaboration with leadership, this position will empower frontline staff to proactively problem-solve, learn and transform care delivery. In partnership with the Director, the Transformation Program Manager will develop and deliver on the system of improvement. Acts as an internal consultant to all service lines and departments at all levels. This position oversees and coaches interdisciplinary project and improvement teams, provides ongoing and just in time education, develops and manages projects, and exemplifies and encourages positive culture related to improvement methodologies and innovative thinking.


POSITION TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Organizational Excellence & Continuous Improvement: Identify, scope, lead, coach, manage and evaluate multiple process improvement projects, utilizing continuous improvement, project management, Lean, and change leadership methodologies to drive and implement improvements

  • Formulate, affect, interpret, and implement management operating practices in accordance with performance improvement methodologies

  • Actively partner with sponsors to champion projects and drive results

  • Grow, educate, support, and maintain a base of process and continuous improvement expertise in the organization by training, mentoring, and developing others in the organization in both formal certification approaches, and informal methods, of continuous improvement

  • Serve as an expert to others (e.g., employees, leaders, physicians, etc.) on continuous improvement and/or project management for deployment across the department. Provide effective feedback to individuals through hands on interaction and mentoring to promote the principles and tools that support continuous improvement

  • In partnership with leaders, develop and maintain a framework for continuous survey readiness for accreditation

  • Project Portfolio Management: Oversee, maintain, and execute on portfolio of projects related to strategy deployment and organizational excellence Drive all phases of projects including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/ controlling and transition/project closeout

  • Develop complex multidisciplinary project plans, including the efficient and effective allocation and delegation of resources, in collaboration with requisite stakeholders and work to ensure that the appropriate prioritization of associated tasks occurs in a timely fashion.

  • Utilize project management tools and principles to define and manage project scope, document, and monitor timelines and deliverables.

  • Identify and resolve dependencies and constraints between and across projects by working with project team members

  • Act as liaison between project team and applicable departments to guarantee project deliverables are completed on time with high quality

  • Conduct regular project review and determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas

  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential project obstacles, and devise contingency plans

  • Interact with all areas of the organization to ensure comprehensive portfolio management of efforts spanning multiple departments Where required, serve as project manager for strategic efforts requiring such skills Challenge others to continuously enhance project management and improvement skillsets

  • Analysis, Reporting and Research: Perform quantitative and qualitative research and data analysis to support strategic goals and organizational initiatives

  • In partnership with Senior Leadership/Director define metrics and data collection methods for monitoring progress toward achieving strategic objectives

  • In collaboration with the VP of Planning and Business Development, collect and analyze market data to inform strategic planning, deployment and continuous improvement.

  • Analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing processes and develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable process improvements Provide cost/benefit analysis of proposed process improvements/changes

  • Research best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data Collect and analyze process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, quality, patient satisfaction, employee engagement, productivity and reduced cost Communicate appropriate metrics to measure success and sustainability of improvement efforts

  • Develop and deliver effective presentations and reports to executives, leaders, clinicians, and staff


POSITION REQUIREMENTS


  • Education: Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, Organization Improvement, or other applicable field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, Organization Improvement, or other applicable fields.

  • Experience: Required: Five years or more experience in delivering project management, strategy deployment, and continuous improvement results. Preferred: Experience in a healthcare setting.

  • Licenses and Registrations: Required: None Preferred: None

  • Certification(s): Required: None Preferred: Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality.
