Job summary

Daniels Family Funeral Service in Socorro, NM seeks a dedicated Transport Specialist responsible for care, removal and transport of human remains according to state and company policies. This role supports families with empathy and professionalism in a sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Transport the deceased from hospital, nursing home, residence, prep rooms or embalming facilities to the mortuary or funeral home.
• Maintain the transport vehicle in good condition and ensure adequate PPE is available in the vehicle.
• Perform duties with adherence to Edification Policies/Procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary/Objective

This position is responsible for the care, removal and transport of human remains in accordance with all state, local and company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for the transporting of the deceased from hospital, nursing home, residence, prep rooms or embalming facilities to the mortuary or funeral home.
• Maintains the transport vehicle is well maintained by being responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness inside/out and adequate supply of Personal Protective Equipment is available in the vehicle.

Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record.
