Riemann Family Funeral Homes - Gulfport is seeking a compassionate transporter who will care for the deceased and ensure smooth transfer between facilities. You will work closely with families and staff to uphold dignity and respect.

The role requires maintaining the vehicle, adhering to policies, and performing additional duties as needed, with teamwork, attention to detail, and strong time management. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently; bilingual is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) preferred.

Mansioni

• Transport the deceased from hospital, nursing home, residence, prep rooms or embalming facilities to the mortuary or funeral home.
• Maintain the transport vehicle, ensuring cleanliness inside/out and adequate PPE supplies.
• Performs duties with adherence to Edification Policies/Procedures.

Summary/Objective

This position is responsible for the care, removal and transport of human remains in accordance with all state, local and company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for the transporting of the deceased from hospital, nursing home, residence, prep rooms or embalming facilities to the mortuary or funeral home.
• Maintains the transport vehicle is well maintained by being responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness inside/out and adequate supply of Personal Protective Equipment is available in the vehicle.
• Performs duties with strict adherence to Edification Policies/Procedures.

Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record.

• This position may also require reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• This position may also be exposed to chemicals and/ or blood borne pathogens.Exposure risk is considered: Low
• Overtime is sometimes necessary or required.

Travel

• This position does not require out of state or overnight travel.
• Travel is primarily local occurring during the business day only.
