Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required (minimum)
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• 1+ year experience as courier/driver with direct customer interaction preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds
• Ability to work some weekends, nights and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Safely transfers deceased individuals using company vehicles in compliance with laws and company policies
• Interact with families professionally and courteously during home transfers
• Maintain and document transfer information in proprietary software
• Transport caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes
• Perform vehicle maintenance tasks and keep vehicles clean

Learn more at SCI-Corp.comJOB RESPONSIBILITIESTransfersSafely drives company owned professional vehicles to perform “first call” transfer of deceased in accordance with local and state/provincial laws as well as company policies and procedures. Follows processes for chain-of-custody, paperwork, and deceased identificationCooperates with first responders, Coroner, hospital staff, or Senior Living facility and accommodate their processes and proceduresFor home transfers, courteously and professionally interacts with bereaved family members; exhibits sensitivity to environment; minimizes conversation.
