Job summary

Jefferson County Public Schools is seeking to fill the 26-27 Teacher position through internal transfer. Current JCPS teachers may apply; transfer requests for this position will not be considered after 8/29/2026. Selected candidates will be considered to fill the position in February of 2027.

Salary is per board-approved placement, with 187 days/7 hours. The transfer process follows the JCTA contract guidelines and district policies.

Qualifications

• Kentucky certification required for the grade level and curricular assignment.
• Experience and preparation required by the Board.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and delivers the program of instruction based on approved curriculum.
• Monitors, evaluates, and communicates student progress.
• Maintains records and makes reports.
• Enforces Board policies, regulations, and rules.
• Supervises students, and secures and maintains school property and materials.
