Job summary

Mountainland Supply in Utah is seeking a Driver to deliver products safely between branches and support loading/unloading and warehouse operations. You will ensure accuracy of shipping papers and maintain vehicle safety and compliance.

The role requires a clean driving record, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and adherence to DOT/OSHA requirements. You will coordinate deliveries to meet established time frames and communicate with branches throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Willingness to participate in pre-employment and random drug screenings.
• 6 months experience driving medium size truck (under 3 tons)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to drive and maintain alertness for long periods of time.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Satisfy all applicable DOT medical certification requirements and maintain current certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a high level of customer service is always provided
• Prepare the truck for operation by assisting in loading, securing items, and verifying shipping papers
• Unload products in a neat and orderly manner
• Deliver orders via the most effective route to other branch locations and meet delivery windows
• Maintain communication with the company during deliveries to ensure updated instructions are received
• Document delivery, accuracy, and receipt of orders by the branch; report discrepancies
• Maintain and monitor truck maintenance and driving records
• Inspect, accept, or reject shipments from vendors
• Operate the forklift to move inbound and outbound shipments
• Comply with DOT and OSHA Requirements

About the Role:

The Driver is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely delivering product from branch to branch. This role supports warehouse operations by loading and unloading materials, ensuring vehicle safety and compliance, and verifying that all deliveries meet company standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure a high level of customer service is always provided


• Prepare the truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing items, and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers


• Unload products in a neat and orderly manner


• Maintain general understanding of products


• Complete vehicle inspections: inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluid, etc. to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind


• Deliver orders via the most effective route to other branch locations and ensure complete orders that are delivered in established time frames


• Maintain communication with the company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received


• Document delivery, accuracy, and receipt of orders by the branch; report any discrepancies


• Maintain and monitor the truck maintenance and driving records


• Maintain a safe driving record that is free of violations


• Inspect, accept, or reject shipments received from vendors


• Operate the forklift to move, unload, or hoist all inbound and outbound shipments from all the trucks


• Comply with DOT and OSHA Requirements


• Perform other various duties, as outlined by supervisor

Qualifications and Physical Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.


• Ability to drive and maintain alertness for long periods of time


• Ability to work in excessively hot and cold conditions due to the outside environment of various duties


• Maintain a clean driving record


• OSHA regulated Steel Toe Shoes: Either an ASTM F243 M/I/50/C/50 or ANSI Z41 PT M/I/50/C/50. Or an ASTM F2413 F/I/50/C/50 or ANSI Z41 PT F/I/50/C/50


• Ability to satisfy all applicable DOT medical certification requirements and maintain current certification
