Salary Range: $18.00 To $24.00 Annually
Hood Container Corporation is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Transfer Car Operator to support our Corrugator operations. This role is critical to maintaining continuous material flow, preventing downtime, and ensuring a safe and organized production environment. We are looking for a motivated team player who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Operate and manage the transfer car to ensure uninterruptedflow of corrugated material.
Keep corrugator lines properly supplied to prevent bottlenecks and machine downtime.
Ensure the transfer car path is clear of people and obstructions at all times.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage and work areas.
Clear take-off lines so machines continue running efficiently.
Monitor sheet quality and assist with quality checks on finished units.
Assist with stretch wrapping, waste removal, and housekeeping duties.
Follow all company policies related to safety, quality, ISO, AIB, and production standards.
Adhere strictly to safety procedures including PPE requirements and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead, Supervisor, or Plant Manager.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required — training will be provided.
Strong work ethic with a stable work history.
Ability to operate, monitor, adjust, and maintain machinery.
Team-oriented mindset with strong attention to safety and quality.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Flexibility to support changing production needs.
Ability to work in temperature extremes ranging from 60°F to 100°F inside the facility.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and push up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Comfortable working around moving equipment and production machinery.
