Job summary

Sonos Inc. in Goleta, CA seeks an Acoustical Engineer to design and develop transducers from concept to launch.

You will lead acoustic design efforts, prototype and test transducers, and collaborate with engineering, product, and sourcing teams across multiple sites. The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of loudspeaker or acoustics experience, with strong skills in COMSOL, ANSYS, and other acoustical tools.

Qualifications

• Expertise in product development for integrated electromechanical speakers.
• Ability to simulate transducers and components and select materials for performance.
• Experience with manufacturing processes affecting acoustics and materials.
• Knowledge of CAD integration for final product fit (OnShape/NX).

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer transducers from concept to launch.
• Lead acoustic design reviews from both acoustic and mechanical perspectives.
• Prototype, test, and evaluate transducers and components.
• Develop and implement acoustical test plans and reliability tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across sites to meet targets.
