Job summary

CLA, a national professional services firm, seeks a Principal or Signing Director to join our Transaction Tax practice in California. You will lead complex tax diligence and structuring projects for PE, family offices, and strategic buyers while mentoring teams and expanding business with new clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of federal, state, and/or international tax compliance, planning, and consulting.
• CPA license required; a JD or Enrolled Agent (EA) may be accepted in lieu of CPA.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with new business development, existing clients and mentoring team members.
• Deliver tax due diligence, structuring, modeling and other engagements related to acquisitions and dispositions by private equity groups, family offices, and strategic buyers.
• Collaborate with SALT, International, and Federal Tax Solutions groups as needed.
• Lead tax due diligence reviews and prepare reports with supporting documents.
• Drive engagement progress by monitoring budgets, timelines, and milestones.
• Foster an entrepreneurial, flexible environment encouraging ownership and initiative.
