Job summary

Summary/Objective

Greet all clients, processing transactions in accordance with bank policy and procedures. Provide prompt, efficient and accurate service while always maintaining a Gold Standard level of service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. 1. Process client transactions: handle checking/savings account deposits and withdrawals; process checks, miscellaneous payments, redeeming savings bonds, telephone transfers, cash advances and courier transactions.
2. 2. Responsible for cash drawer always: handle all cash transactions; ensure all transactions are correct and accurate; make sure all drawers are secure and watched over; balance the cash drawer correctly with daily transactions.
3. 3. Handle additional client banking questions: help when questions arise; direct clients to the appropriate areas; handle all client needs effectively and efficiently.
4. 4. Client maintenance: order checks and deposit tickets; process client services requests, scan teller work and resolve issues with proof.
5. 5. Stay engaged and productive during down time by proactively completing operational tasks, organizing workspaces, reviewing training materials, or supporting team members.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This position uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, fax machines and filing cabinets on a daily basis.

Physical Demands

Most of this position’s responsibilities and duties are performed sitting or standing at a workstation. Some filing and storage duties are required by this position. The ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend or stand on a stool, as well as loading and carrying boxes is a necessary ability. This position may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position is classified as non-exempt by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Typical hours will be Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:15 pm. Additional hours may be required.
