Job summary

CohnReznick in Illinois seeks a Senior Manager in Transaction Advisory Services to lead buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements across industries. You will analyze historical financials, identify sustainable earnings, and coordinate with client management to meet delivery deadlines.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, strong Excel/PowerPoint, CPA preferred, 8+ years in transaction advisory, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
• CPA and other relevant professional certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, SEC Reporting, transaction advisory services, or mergers and acquisitions.
• 8+ years of transaction advisory experience in diverse industries.
• Ability to work additional hours and travel to client sites as needed.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong project management and ability to handle multiple projects in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key player in buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements for private equity and strategic buyers.
• Analyze historical financial statements and assess operational trends to identify sustainable earnings across industries.
• Coordinate with team and client management on expectations, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Effectively write and present engagement reports and deliverables to client management.
• Coach and mentor junior staff on engagements.

This position will support our rapidly growing Transaction Advisory Services group. This team conducts due diligence and supports clients across a wide range of industries. As a member of this team, you'll not only have the opportunity to interact with clients but also to interact with team members across all levels within the practice.

YOUR ROLE.

• Act as a key player in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements from both private equity and strategic corporate buyers
• Analyze historical financial statements and evaluate operational trends to identify sustainable earnings for a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, hospitality, high-technology, and healthcare
• Coordinate with team and management regarding client expectations concerning project deliverables and deadlines
• Effectively write and communicate engagement reports and deliverables to client management
• Coach and mentor staff

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• CPA and other relevant professional certifications preferred
• Strong current knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, SEC Reporting, transaction advisory services, or mergers and acquisitions
• 8+ plus years of transaction advisory experience within various industries
• Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel out-of-town to clients as required
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and root cause determination skills
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Strong project management with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a team-oriented environment
• Action-oriented, decisive approach to work required, with the willingness to take a hands-on role to ensure the deliverables are met on time

In Illinois, the salary range for an Advisory Senior Manager is $150,000 to $250,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
