Job summary

The Army National Guard Units in Illinois is seeking a Training Technician (TITLE 32), GS-1702-6/7, to serve as the primary assistant to the senior training technician/NCO in the operations and training area.

Under the training officer, you will forecast, allocate, and monitor the usage of training ammunition, make reallocation recommendations, review training requirements, and coordinate with higher headquarters to obtain school quotas. A Secret security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience forecasting ammunition usage for training events.
• Ability to coordinate training quotas with higher headquarters.
• Familiarity with training reservation systems and procedures.
• Knowledge of regulations governing training ammunition and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist in forecasting, allocating, and monitoring ammunition usage for training events.
• Make recommendations for the reallocation and/or re-forecasting of ammunition.
• Review, validate, monitor and coordinate forecasting of training requirements for subordinate elements.
• Coordinate with higher headquarters to obtain school training quotas (Service, NCO, Special, etc.).
