Job summary

Education Development Center, Inc. seeks a Training and Technical Assistance Associate II for the RI Pre-K PDTA project, reporting to the Project Director.

The role focuses on building capacity in RI Pre-K classrooms and programs through individual and small group technical assistance and ongoing professional development. This full-time position requires regular in-person site visits across Rhode Island, with some tasks possible remotely to meet contract deliverables.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or teacher certification or equivalent combination of training and education in a related field preferred
• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field required
• 5-8 years related experience with a Master's degree in the disciplinary area, social science, or public health research, education, training, curriculum design, consulting, organizational development, or administrative management
• 7-10 years related experience with a Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with RI Pre-K program staff and provide technical assistance at classroom and program level.
• Develop and facilitate professional development series responsive to program needs and funder requirements.
• Analyze data related to program quality and collaborate with RI Pre-K staff and other stakeholders to support quality improvement goals.

Job Description

The Center for Early Learning Professionals is seeking a full-time Training and Technical Assistance Associate II for its RI Pre-K PDTA project, reporting to the Project Director.

The Center for Early Learning Professionals serves as the state of Rhode Island's hub for professional development and technical assistance for early childhood education workforce professionals and pre-licensed and licensed childcare programs including Center-based, home-based and school age/out of school time, as well as Rhode Island's RIDE-funded RI Pre-K programs. The Training and Technical Assistance Associate II is responsible for building capacity in state-funded RI Pre-K classrooms and programs. This position provides individual and small group technical assistance, facilitates professional development opportunities, and supports RI Pre-K programs as they complete grant deliverables. Through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, the Training and Technical Assistance Associate II identifies short- and long-term quality improvement goals for RI Pre-K staff, classrooms, and programs.

This position requires regular, in-person site visits throughout Rhode Island and in-person meetings and professional development events. While there are opportunities for this position to complete some tasks remotely, the position requires on-site presence to meet contract deliverables.

You Will

Qualifications

Education

• Master's degree or teacher certification or equivalent combination of training and education in a related field preferred
• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field required

Skills & Experience

• With a Master's degree, 5 - 8 years related experience in the disciplinary area, social science, or public health research, education, training, curriculum design, consulting, organizational development, or administrative management, including solid experience with computer applications, instructional design, and internet research
• With Bachelor's degree, 7 - 10 years related experience (as above)
• Prior project leadership or supervisory experience
• Familiarity working with RI systems such as RI BrightStars Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS), RI Department of Human Services Child Care Licensing, and other child care agencies/systems as applicable
• Multimedia technology skills
• Ability to work independently while adhering to performance expectations
• Knowledge of RI State Pre-K and related systems preferred

Travel

• Ability to travelregularly to specific sites in Rhode Island

The starting full-timebase salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000.
