Exelon is seeking a Training Supervisor for Transmission & Substation to lead the planning and delivery of training and OJT programs, ensuring safety, reliability, and performance goals. You will supervise Crew Leaders, Demos and Apprentices/Helpers and align with corporate controls.

The role requires 4–7 years in the utility sector with supervisory experience, preferred knowledge of CBAs, and a track record in building high-performance teams across field operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or extensive knowledge of collective bargaining and related procedures.
• Experience in Transmission/Substation disciplines is preferred.

Directs and is responsible for optimizing the practices, policies, and procedures to ensure delivery of the Transmission & Substation Training and OJT programs in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner with the welfare of employees, customers, the public and shareholders in mind. Plans, directs, coordinates, and supervises Crew Leaders, Demos and Apprentices/Helpers. Implements Company and departmental policies, initiatives, procedures & guidelines in order to satisfy corporate, business unit, municipal and regulatory requirements. Maintain and apply a working knowledge of the Exelon Management Model for business controls and meet management's expectation for conducting effective business. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

Primary Duties

• Plan, coordinate, and direct craft employees engaged in the execution and delivery of scheduled training and OJT activities, to assure the highest levels of customer services and maintenance to achieve Exelon's safety, reliability and performance goals.
• Promote and maintain an environment that fosters a high-performance culture and a learning organization. Serves as a change agent for business initiatives and assures the human element is understood and considered. Provides timely recognition of employee contributions. Provide coaching, training, and evaluate employee performance.
• Facilitates open and honest communication with staff. Assures that upward communication is integrated into the process, including employee concerns and complaints. Develop methods to assess communication effectiveness and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Establish, maintain and improve relationships with other departments in Exelon.
• Manage Union/management relationships and engage local union stewards to effectively facilitate the Collective Bargaining Agreement
• Work within departmental budgets. Plan resource coverage, execute and evaluate training and OJT effectiveness directed at achievement of business plans and business unit objectives.
• Manage large-scale training projects.

Job Scope

This position supports various Supervisor Field Ops Training roles within Transmission & Substation Operations, Transmission & Substation Mechanics, Splicers, Operators, and Overhead Transmission. Ideal skill set includes Leadership, facilitation / instruction, training program development, program management experience, field processes & safety guideline knowledge, strong organizational and time management skills.

Minimum Qualifications

4-7 years of internal utility experience or equivalent external industry experience. Prior supervisory experience will be evaluated following the interview: -Candidates with 2-3 years of recent internal supervisory experience will not require additional assessment. -Candidates without internal supervisory experience, including external applicants, all others will be required to complete the Supervisory Assessment if selected to move forward after the interview. The Supervisory Assessment is administered only to candidates who advance beyond the interview stage and who do not meet the internal supervisory experience threshold. Candidates meeting the 4-7 years of utility experience requirement (or equivalent) will be advanced for further review.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree/extensive knowledge of the collective bargaining agreement and related procedures, policies, and processes. Transmission & Substation Experience Preferred from one or more roles within the following disciplines: (Transmission Underground, Transmission Services, Overhead Transmission, Area Operating, Network Highrise and Substation Construction).

• Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $96,800.00/Yr. – $133,100.00/Yr.
