As a Training Specialist I, you will play an essential role in designing, coordinating, and delivering effective training programs that enhance skills, knowledge, and performance. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content meets organizational needs and supports career development. Your efforts will help YSI maintain a culture of continuous learning, excellence, and innovation across all projects and engagements.

Job Responsibilities

• Develops, issues, and conducts training—classroom, e-learning, multimedia, simulators, and workshops.
• Tasked with Navy training curriculum per NAVEDTRA guidelines.
• Prepares lesson plans, materials, and technical instruction content.
• Includes setup of course content and instructor support.

Required skills and experience

• Bachelors in Technical Field, Education, Psychology, or related discipline. Must meet technical training degree requirements.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with development and issuance of classroom training, electronic learning, multimedia programs, distance learning, satellite training, other computer-aided instructional technologies, videos, simulators, and workshops.
• Experience setting up teaching materials and lesson plans prior to the class.
• Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP) or equivalent advantageous. (Not mandatory but beneficial.)
