Qualifications

Job description

At St. Coletta's, our mission is to serve children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they can achieve their greatest potential. The Community Day Services (CDS) provides a variety of programs to enhance each individual’s adaptive living skills, economic self-sufficiency, overall level of independence and integration into the community. The CDS is seeking a Training Specialist/DSP to join the Community Day Services Program. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Pay Rate: $22.09 hourly

Responsibilities

• The individual will be responsible for implementing methods of instruction consistent with current skills and performance curriculum
• Adapts work stations to meet the needs of the consumers: maintains a clean and safe work environment
• Prepares required documentation for agency caseworkers
• Provides crisis counseling and emergency interventions to consumers as needed
• Responsible for transporting clients in a Van
• Monitors and records operating conditions of vehicle daily and reports mechanical problems to the Supervisor immediately
• While transporting clients, complies to route, safety and other transportation procedures
• Tracks and records client transportation and other information as required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Able to demonstrate approved behavior management techniques
• DSP certification required
• CPR and First Aide Certification preferred, not required
• Valid driver’s license
• Pass a criminal background check and physical/drug test
• Pass a MVR background check
