Title: Training & Education Engagement Specialist

Employment Type: Full Time

About the Company

At Checkers & Rally's were redefining what fast food can look like.
From Day one, our mission has been simple: deliver bold, crave-worthy food at an unbeatable value, without slowing down. That’s why we’ve built a brand known for iconic menu items, fast service, and experiences that keep guests coming back again and again. From the Big Buford to our award winning Famous Seasoned Fries, our menu Eats Different!
But what really sets us apart? Our people.
We believe in creating opportunities. Whether you're starting out or building your career, we provide the training, support, and real pathways to help you grow, lead, and succeed.

About the Role

The Training Content and Engagement Specialist creates the content that helps our field teams learn, stay informed, and stay connected to the brand. This role leans heavily into digital communication, video production, microlearning design, and internal engagement analytics — bringing a social-media content creator's mindset to how we train and talk to our restaurants: creative, fast-moving, and driven by what the data says actually lands. This role combines instructional design, creative content development, and digital communication to create training that is relevant, memorable, and effective for a fast-paced restaurant environment. The person in this role will also manage our learning management system (LMS) day-to-day; deep LMS experience isn't required, but the ability to learn platform administration is.

The ideal candidate understands how frontline restaurant employees consume information and can translate operational procedures into engaging training materials using video, graphics, social-style content, job aids, and microlearning. This person stays current with digital trends and helps ensure training is delivered in ways that capture attention and improve knowledge retention.

Working closely with Operations, Training, and Subject Matter Experts, this role develops learning content that supports new initiatives, operational excellence, and team member development by designing engaging, easy-to-understand learning experiences that help restaurant teams perform at their best.

What You’ll Do (Core Impact Areas)
Content Development
  • Design engaging learning experiences for restaurant managers and crew members.
  • Develop microlearning modules, videos, interactive courses, job aids, quick reference guides, and digital learning assets.
  • Produce engaging visual and multimedia training content.
  • Write clear, concise, and engaging copy for training materials.
  • Develop short-form learning content that reflects how restaurant employees consume information today.
  • Create video scripts, storyboards, graphics, animations, and interactive learning experiences.
  • Understand the different learning personas and create content that effectively delivers to those personas.
  • Ensure all materials align with brand standards and operational expectations.
Employee Engagement
  • Create communication and learning campaigns that generate excitement around new products, promotions, and operational initiatives.
  • Incorporate storytelling, gamification, and recognition into learning experiences.
  • Develop content that connects with restaurant employees that is effective for all audiences.
  • Maintain a consistent visual/brand voice across all internal learning and communication materials.
  • Identify emerging social media and digital content trends that can enhance employee learning.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve learning materials based on feedback and performance results.
Learning Technology
  • Maintain learning content within the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Ensure learning materials remain current as operational procedures evolve.
  • Assist with reporting, learner tracking, and content organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Operations, Marketing, Product Development, HR, and Field Training to understand business needs and turn complex programs into simple, digestible content.
  • Translate operational requirements into engaging learning solutions that are clear, engaging, and effective.
  • Maintain content calendars to keep launches, campaigns, and rollouts on schedule.
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines for restaurant launches and initiatives.
